OK, let me say first of I liked this book much more than the first one - but this book wouldn't be possible without the first one so it all works out.
This one starts off where Carnage The Story of Us ends and Georgia is trying to move on and accept Sean & Beau's deaths. I did like Georgia more in this book as she is older and less whiney - for the most part. There were a few moments though when I wanted to throw the book down and scream "Will you just stop being such a fecken cunt / princess!!!!!" but I didn't. Mostly because i read at work and that would look bad.
Anyway, Georgia is living in Australia with relatives and is trying to mend her heart - enter sexy musician Roman. With Roman's help Georgia is able to finally start living again, finally start feeling again. Here she is not harassed by the paparazzi and able to explore her feelings without having them breathing down her neck. Then Cam arrives. I FUCKING LOVE CAM. Just throwing that out there ... so he's there they go back to England and of course there is misunderstanding after misunderstanding ... which is fine, but after awhile it gets a little old. I mean, I enjoyed this book but if I had to read the whole "I still love Sean but I love Cam too" "I love George and accept that she loved Sean" speech one more time, I may have thrown my kindle across the fucking room. Yes, I understand that they have to explain their relationship to the family and to the paps but do they have to do the same fecken speech every time the family is together??!!
My favorite characters in this book are Ash & Jim - these two cracked me up so much it was ridiculous! The shit that they said was just brilliant! When they all snot-bubble cry (I did not realize others used that term besides me & my sister), the references to Mr. TDH's 9 inches and my favorite quote in the whole damn book "Go you, George! Did ya blow on his didgeridoo?" I may have snort laughed. Without those two this book would have been severely lacking.
So all in all, I really did enjoy the fuck out of it and I think Lesley did a really good job of making these two come together while battling all kinds of obstacles (Sean's death, Tamara the twat, blow jobs in bathrooms etc). I'm glad I read it!
